OUR BEACHES
With fine sand and crystalline waters, the wonderful beaches that surround us are perfect to rest comfortably. Highlights include Playa Mamitas, Playa Paraiso (in Tulum) and Playa Maroma, from which you can enjoy the most spectacular sunsets.

NATURAL PARKS
Ecotourism is a great option if you come to Playa del Carmen. You should not leave without visiting some of the ecological parks that are preserved in the area, such as Xcaret, where you can see sea turtles, manatees, spider monkeys and the first butterfly of Mexico. We also recommend visiting Xel-Há, a natural aquarium where marine and freshwater species coexist. The Sian Ka'an Reserve, a protected natural area that was declared a World Heritage Site by Unesco in 1987, is also a must during your trip.

MAYAN CULTURE
If you come to Playa del Carmen you should also visit the Mayan archaeological sites that surround us and make up our history and culture. The closest ones to the city are those of Xaman-Há, a place from which the Mayas began their pilgrimage to Cozumel to worship the Mayan goddess of love. Nor can you miss Xcaret, which was one of the most important merchant ports in the area; nor the archaeological zone of Tulum, one of the most impressive sites with amazing views of the sea.
